Chemistry Comes Alive! is an award-winning collection of high-quality QuickTime video clips and still images that brings chemistry to life with its depictions of chemical reactions and techniques. CCA! video and imagery is readily incorprated into other presentation formats such as Web pages and presentations. Taking care to keep the focus on the chemistry is one of the hallmarks of the Chemistry Comes Alive! collection.

Availability and Access

The Chemistry Comes Alive! collection is currently available on a series of CD-ROMs from JCE Software. The entire collection is being converted to streaming formats better suited for WWW-based delivery. The entire collection of video clips will also be catalogued in the ChemEd DL.

Access to Chemistry Comes Alive! streaming video is restricted to JCE Software subscribers. However, many university, college, and high school libraries provide access to their users through institutional subscriptions to JCE Software. So, for many, if not most, of the users of ChemEd DL, access to CCA! video is provided through their institution's subscription.
