Goal #1: Implement a global communication plan and social network infrastructure by 2010
The idea behind this goal is to improve communications within the division, by providing a structure available only to members. We envisage a professional re-design of the web-site with a central focus being the development of a social network (a sort of facebook for chemical educators). Members will be able to add themselves to the network, post interests, skills and needs, indicate their interest in volunteering for division activities – and develop communities of like minded individuals.
Here are examples of activities. We encourage you to add others, provided they fall within the purview of this task force.
- Social Network Web Site Establish a social network website available to all members
- Review CHED Web Site Review and enhance features of current CHED website.
- Create Social Network Groups Create initial groups for social network such as research by topics, committee business, areas of teaching and learning, etc.
- BCCE Operations Manual Set up a prototype wiki-based operations manual for BCCE.
- Reports Committee reports will appear here in reverse chronological order.
